About me
I am a postdoctoral researcher at New York University, working with Dr. Marcelo Mattar. My research spans two areas: (1) AI for science—using deep learning to drive scientific discovery in neuroscience and cognitive science, and (2) LLM agents and interpretability.
Previously, I was a Member of Technical Staff at Fundamental Research Labs, where I built agent infrastructure and evaluation systems for an LLM-powered spreadsheet agent. Before that, I was a Research Scientist Intern at Meta (Reality Labs, EMG Foundation Team).
I received my Ph.D. in Neurosciences from UC San Diego in 2025, advised by Dr. Marcus Benna and Dr. Marcelo Mattar. During my PhD, I also worked with Dr. Stefano Fusi and Dr. Robert Yang at Columbia University, and with Dr. Xiao-Jing Wang at New York University.
I graduated with B.S. in Biological Science and B.E. in Computer Science and Technology from USTC, and M.S. in Applied Statistics from USTC.
My first author work has been published in Nature, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, Nature Human Behaviour, NeurIPS, iScience, and other venues. Full list of 20 publications (13 first/co-first author, 540+ citations, h-index 10) at Google Scholar.
